The plant is an upright herbaceous perennial 60 to 75 cm tall. The foliage is grey-green, lanceolate or broadly lanceolate in shape, reaching 18 cm in length. The flowers have a mild fragrance, consisting of pale pink reflexed petals and a distinct orange central cone.
The variety is distinguished by an early start to flowering, which continues from late spring to late summer with possible repeat flowering. Over 100 inflorescences can form on one mature plant per season. The stems are strong, well-branched, and do not require additional support.
The plant is adapted to drought, heat, and humidity; winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 4a–9b. The foliage is resistant to diseases, however, the variety can be susceptible to aster yellows and leaf spots. Suitable for use in group plantings, borders, rock gardens, as well as for cut flowers.
