The variety is a medium-sized shrub reaching a height of 1 to 1.4 meters. The inflorescences have a spherical shape and are colored in dark red, raspberry-red or red-pink tones, which may acquire a wine shade by autumn.

Flowering of the plant occurs in the period from July to October. The variety has frost resistance up to -18 °C and tolerates exposure to sunlight given sufficient soil moisture.

The intensity of the inflorescence color may depend on the acidity level of the soil. The plant is intended for decorative purposes, suitable for landscaping borders, cultivation in pots and containers, as well as for cutting.
