Variety description

The dense upright shrub reaches a height of 100–150 cm, sometimes up to 200 cm. Leaves are bright green, leathery, ovate or acuminate-oval in shape with serrated edges. Large globose inflorescences with a diameter of 18–25 cm can reach 30 cm.

Flowers vary from pink and reddish-pink to bright red or scarlet, acquiring purple or blue tones on acidic soils. Flowering occurs at the ends of the previous year's shoots. The variety is suitable for solitary and group plantings, hedges, and container cultivation.

Frost resistance is from -18 °C to -23 °C (USDA zone 5–6); winter cover is required. After blooming, the inflorescences retain their shape and decorative appeal, which is why they are used as dried flowers.
