The plant is a shrub with upright shoots, reaching a width of 1–1.5 m. The egg-shaped leaves have a serrated edge and a size of 10–15 cm. The inflorescences with a diameter of 20–25 cm consist of flowers with a diameter of 4–4.5 cm, the edges of which can be entire or serrated.

The variety prefers partial shade or shade, as well as humus-rich, well-drained soils with sufficient moisture. The plant is thermophilic and requires winter covering in cold climatic conditions. It is used for planting in gardens and parks, as well as for growing in containers.
