Variety description

The variety is a compact shrub with a height of 1.0–1.25 m. A distinctive feature of the inflorescences is the complete absence of sterile flowers; their role is fulfilled by enlarged fertile flowers, whose petals curl outwards. The inflorescences are flat or spherical, densely packed with small flowers.

The color of the petals varies from pale pink to sky blue depending on the soil composition and its acidity level. The plant prefers fertile, moisture-retentive, well-drained soils and partial shade. The hardiness zone is rated as 6, and flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots.
