The shrub reaches a height of 1.0–1.5 meters and is characterized by good branching and dense dark green foliage, which may turn red by autumn. Inflorescences are flat, corymbose, consisting of large sterile flowers along the edges and fertile flowers in the center. The flowering period falls between June and September.

The variety possesses resistance to powdery mildew and lodging due to the sturdiness of the stems. Frost resistance is estimated down to -25°C, although the plant requires covering in regions with severe winters. To obtain a blue shade of the inflorescences, acidic soil and the presence of aluminum are required.
