Variety description

The shrub is upright, densely foliated, reaching 1.2–2 meters in height and width. Young shoots have a copper-bronze or purple hue. Leaves are dark green, large, ovoid in shape with a serrated edge.

Inflorescences are dense, globular, 15–20 cm in diameter. The flowering period lasts from July to August, sometimes until September. Flowers are pink, darkening with age to crimson or purple shades, and turn blue when soil acidity changes.

The variety has moderate winter hardiness down to -21°C and requires covering in cold regions. Resistant to air pollution. Suitable for solitary and group plantings, hedges, container cultivation, and cutting.
