The name Pink Lacecap is used in trade to designate plants with flat inflorescences consisting of central small fertile flowers and a ring of large sterile flowers on the periphery. Various hydrangea specimens corresponding to this phenotype may be sold under this name.

Plants of this type are deciduous shrubs 0.9 to 1.5 meters in height. Flower color depends on soil acidity and varies from pink in neutral or alkaline media to blue or mauve in acidic ones. The crops are suitable for cultivation in partial shade, in borders, group plantings, or containers.
