The variety forms spherical, dense, medium-sized inflorescences. Unlike most hydrangeas, the flowers have a light, pleasant fragrance. The plant is a shrub with a height of 1 to 2 meters, featuring broadly ovate, serrated, dark green leaves.

The color of the inflorescences depends on the soil pH level: on alkaline soils they are pink, on neutral soils they are lilac, and on acidic soils with the presence of aluminum, they are blue. The flowering period occurs in summer, starting from June or July. The plant is used in single and group plantings, hedges, container gardening, and is suitable for cutting.

The variety is of Japanese origin and is considered relatively hardy, but requires protection in regions with harsh winters, as its frost resistance is limited to the range of -10…-15 °C.
