The spreading symmetrical shrub reaches a height of 1.5–2.5 m with a crown width of 1.5–2.0 m. The shoots are stiff and upright, colored bright red or reddish-brown. The leaves are oval, pointed, and green with pronounced venation.
The cone-shaped inflorescences 15–30 cm long consist of fertile and sterile flowers. At the beginning of flowering, they have a greenish tint, gradually turn white, and then turn pink to a deep fuchsia color. Flowering continues from July to September or October.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness (USDA zone 4, down to –34°C) and resistance to diseases and pests. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations and fertile, well-drained acidic or slightly acidic soils. Suitable for use in floral compositions and landscape design.
