The compact deciduous shrub reaches a height and width of 1.0 to 1.5 m. The plant's shoots are characterized by strength and resistance to lodging, which allows the variety to be used for creating hedges, mixed borders, cultivation in containers, and for cut flowers.
Large conical inflorescences change color during flowering: they open creamy white, gradually acquire pink shades, and by the end of summer become dark red or crimson. Due to the uneven aging of the flowers, the shrub often retains a two-tone coloration.
Flowering occurs on current-year shoots abundantly from July to October. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 3–8.
