Variety description

The plant is a shrub reaching 1.5 meters in height and width. The leaves are of an intermediate size characteristic of Hydrangea macrophylla and Hydrangea serrata hybrids.

The lacecap-type inflorescences consist of white sterile flowers, which turn pink over time, and fertile flowers of a blue or pinkish hue. The variety is late-flowering, with blooming occurring in September.

The plant contains dihydroisocoumarins, in particular, a significant amount of hydrangenol. In dry climate conditions, pruning is recommended after flowering to stimulate the growth of next year's shoots.
