The shrub forms an upright crown of rounded or spreading shape. Narrow-oval pointed leaves with serrated edges have a dark green color, which often acquires a reddish hue towards the end of the season.
Lacecap-type inflorescences are flat corymbs up to 15 cm in diameter. The center consists of small fertile flowers, surrounded at the edges by large sterile flowers, which are white upon opening and later turn pink or red. The shade of the fertile flowers depends on soil acidity.
Flowering lasts from June to August–September. The plant is moisture-loving, prefers acidic or neutral fertile drained soils. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 6–9 (down to –20...–25 °C). The variety is suitable for borders, mass plantings, and container gardening.
