Variety description

The variety is a local folk selection cultivated since the 16th century. The fruits are small and oval-shaped, rounded at the base, with pronounced ribs along the suture. The kernel is easily extracted and possesses high palatability, making it sought after in cooking, confectionery production, and the creation of walnut liqueurs.

The tree reaches productive age at approximately 15 years. The root system of the seedlings is susceptible to infection by nematodes of the species Mesocriconema xenoplax. The harvest matures in September-October. Currently, the variety is preserved as a historically significant cultural resource, despite being replaced by more productive commercial varieties.
