Variety description

The Érdió 1 (BD6) variety is characterized by early initiation of vegetation and an early ripening period, maturing 5–7 days ahead of the Alsószentiváni 117 variety. The tree has a distinct central leader. The fruit-bearing capacity from lateral buds is estimated at 30–40%.

The fruits are oblong in shape and measure 32–34 mm in diameter. The shell is smooth, and like the kernel, is distinguished by its light color. The variety possesses high resistance of the green fruit husk and medium resistance of the foliage to walnut blight.
