The variety has a long history dating back to the period of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Due to its long-term popularity in a number of European countries, various genotypes may be encountered in nurseries under this name, which makes identifying the original plant difficult.
According to UPOV technical descriptions, a key characteristic of the variety is the yellowish-white color of the kernel skin. Biochemical studies of green fruit husks indicate variability in the content of phenolic compounds in them depending on environmental conditions and ripening dates.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
