The variety «Elit» is an object of breeding research. It is characterized by late differentiation of reproductive organs and late flowering periods. The variety is classified as homogamous, meaning the flowering times of male and female flowers predominantly coincide.

In the process of fruiting, the variety shows signs of slight alternate bearing, where productive years alternate with less productive ones. Scientific research on the variety is aimed at studying the architecture of fruiting branches, monitoring physiological processes, and analyzing the chemical composition of the fruits, in particular the content of fatty acids and tocopherols.
