Variety description

The variety is a spreading shrub with a widely spreading, often funnel-shaped crown. Branches are arched, and shoot tips may slightly droop. By the age of 10, the plant reaches 1 m in height and 2–3 m in width, while an adult specimen can grow up to 1.5–3 m in height and up to 3–5 m in diameter.

Needles are acicular and scale-like. Young growth has a bright golden-yellow hue, which turns green over time, and takes on a yellow-green or brownish-green color in winter. The variety has high frost resistance and tolerance to urban conditions, air pollution, and drought, although it may be susceptible to fungal diseases.

The plant is used in landscape design for single and group plantings, creating free-growing hedges, rock gardens, heather gardens, container landscaping, and as a groundcover plant on slopes.
