Variety description

The plant features shoots rising at an angle of about 45°. The height of an adult specimen is from 0.5 to 2 m, the crown width reaches 2.5–3 m. The needles are soft, scale-like, and retain their decorative quality under conditions of sufficient lighting.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness (zone 5a) and is resistant to urban conditions, air pollution, and drought. The plant is demanding regarding soil drainage and is sensitive to excessive moisture and shading, which causes a loss of the needles' bright coloration.

It is used in landscape design as a groundcover plant, a solitary plant, an element of borders and hedges, as well as for container gardening.
