Variety description

The plant has a dense, compact, flat-globose shape. The variety is characterized by slow growth: by 10 years of age it reaches a height of about 0.3 m with a crown diameter of up to 1 m. The needles are characterized by a yellow or golden color, which is retained all year round; the shade is brighter on young growth, while the lower needles may have a greenish tone.

The variety is winter-hardy, undemanding, and resistant to adverse conditions, including droughts. The plant tolerates sunny areas well. It is used in ornamental gardening as a groundcover for rock gardens and rockeries, and is also found in standard form.
