The variety forms a loose but voluminous head approximately 20 cm in height and 25 cm in width. The leaves are broad, dentate, and slightly bullate, distinguished by a crisp texture and delicate sweetish taste. The leaf color is pale green with characteristic blood-red spots, the brightness of which increases in cold weather.
The plant is late-maturing and possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -15°C under cover or in mild climates. The variety shows resistance to foliar diseases and stores well after harvest. Intended for sowing in a nursery from August to September followed by transplanting into open ground.
