The variety belongs to the professional Salanova line, which ensures the rosette separates into many small fragments when the base is cut. The leaves have a delicate structure, they are thick, succulent, and colored a deep dark red.
The plant possesses high resistance to downy mildew isolates Bl:29–36, 38–41EU, currant-lettuce aphid, as well as intermediate resistance to lettuce mosaic virus. The variety is characterized by resistance to bolting and necrosis development.
Binex is suitable for year-round cultivation in greenhouses in soil and hydroponics, as well as in the open field. The leaves retain their marketable appearance for a long time and are resistant to oxidation after cutting, which makes the variety suitable for the fresh market and the production of salad mixes.
