The variety belongs to the Romaine type (Lactuca sativa var. longifolia). The plant forms a large, voluminous, upright head with crisp, medium-green leaves, which sometimes have reddish or brownish pigmentation.

The variety is characterized as resistant to bolting, which is why it is found in catalogs under the synonym Blonde lente à monter 2. The plant possesses resistance to most races of lettuce downy mildew (Bremia lactucae).

Intended for cultivation in open field. Recommended sowing periods are from January to May and from August to September. It is a traditional variety for the Rome region.
