The variety Barprisma is a diploid (2x) Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam. ssp. italicum (A. Br.) Volkart). According to test protocols, the plant is distinguished by a long stem with an inflorescence in the full development phase.

The plant is used in agricultural production for hay, silage, and livestock grazing. During field studies, the variety demonstrated stability of characteristics, including resistance to crown rust (Puccinia coronata), the reaction to which may change depending on growing conditions.
