The variety is a tetraploid form (4n) of Italian ryegrass. As a tetraploid, it is characterized by large cell size, high tillering energy, and intensive biomass accumulation.

The plant possesses an increased content of water-soluble carbohydrates and good palatability indicators. The variety is primarily used as a forage crop for creating productive pastures, as well as for silage and hay harvesting.
