The variety is tetraploid. It is characterized by less pronounced requirements for exposure to low temperatures necessary for the transition to the flowering phase compared to a number of other varieties of this crop.

The variety is used in agricultural production for obtaining green mass and hay. During experimental studies, its susceptibility to Meloidogyne minor nematodes was examined, with low reproduction rates of this pest noted on the roots of the variety.
