The variety is tetraploid and is characterized by a high yield potential that is balanced throughout the entire growing season. Full plant productivity is maintained until the end of the second year of primary use.

During breeding, special attention was paid to cold tolerance, which was confirmed by tests under artificial conditions. Compared to a number of diploid varieties, Zebu possesses better digestibility and maintains a high content of digestible organic matter as productivity increases.
