The Viglassky variety was bred in Czechoslovakia. In the literature of the second half of the 20th century, it is mentioned in the context of forage crop trials, in particular those held in Canada in 1969, where its winter hardiness, green mass yield, and seed productivity were evaluated.
The variety also appears in scientific papers on biotechnology as an object for plant tissue transformation experiments. Detailed morphological characteristics and a description of the maturity group are absent in open publications.
