The Alar tree has medium vigor and demonstrates good yield, bearing fruit uniformly throughout the crown. The variety was obtained by crossing the Cortland variety with the elite seedling L9-2.
Fruits with an average weight of 100 to 150 grams have a round shape. The skin is light yellow with a light red blush; the flesh is of medium density, juicy, and sweet. Optimal fruit flavor is achieved in September.
