The tree has a vigorous growth habit and an upright crown. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators. The plant is noted for high winter hardiness, corresponding to zone 3.

The fruits are medium to large in size, oval in shape, and covered with a firm primrose-colored skin with a pink or red blush and stripes. The flesh is cream-colored, firm, and juicy. The variety is considered a dessert apple and is not intended for long-term storage.
