The variety is a chance seedling of the 'Blenheim Orange' variety. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth at a young age, which becomes medium over time, and forms a symmetrical high-domed crown. The variety is suitable for cultivation in protected locations and roadside plantings.

The fruit are large, spherical in shape, lemon-yellow in color with a possible red blush. The flesh is whitish-yellow, the taste is sweet-tart. Harvesting is carried out in the first half of October, consumption maturity occurs in December, and the fruit can be stored until April–May.

The plant possesses good winter hardiness and low susceptibility to powdery mildew, however, it is prone to scab infection and the development of bitter pit on the fruit.
