Variety description

The variety originated in the 18th or 19th century in Europe. The tree has moderate vigor, reaching a height of 2 to 4 meters depending on the rootstock, and requires regular crown formation to prevent branch breakage under the weight of the fruits.

The fruits have citron-yellow skin, firm juicy flesh, and a wine-sweet taste with pineapple notes. The harvest is collected in October. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness, but is susceptible to scab, bark canker, leaf aphids, and fire blight.

The variety is used fresh, for culinary processing, and juice production. Currently, it is grown primarily in collection orchards and amateur farms.
