The tree has weak or moderate growth vigor, forming a sparse crown with upward-directed branches. The variety is winter-hardy, but sensitive to soil quality; if there is a lack of moisture, the fruit becomes smaller and loses its aromatic properties. Susceptibility to cancer and powdery mildew has been noted.

The fruit is small or medium in size, has a round-conical shape and golden-yellow skin with small russet specks. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, fine-grained, and juicy. The taste is sweet-and-sour with a distinct aroma reminiscent of pineapple. The variety is of universal use; the fruit matures in mid-to-late October.
