The Ardelean variety tree has medium vigor and forms a pyramidal-spherical crown. Fruiting occurs on short fruit branches. The variety is self-fertile, but the presence of pollinator varieties is recommended for stable yields.

Fruits are of medium size weighing 150–160 g and have a spherical or truncate-conical shape. The skin is smooth, with an intense burgundy-red blush, whitish subcutaneous dots, and a waxy coating. The flesh is white-yellow in color, juicy and crisp, possessing a sweet and sour taste and aroma.

The variety is classified as autumn; the harvest period falls at the end of September – beginning of October. The plant possesses high resistance to frosts, drought, as well as good resistance to powdery mildew and scab.
