The apple variety «Altayskoye barkhatnoye» belongs to the summer maturity group. The fruits have a round or round-conical shape, yellow color with a red blush, and a characteristic bluish bloom. The flesh of the fruit is white, juicy, and fine-grained in structure. Tree fruiting begins in the 4th year after planting; yield is approximately 32 kg per tree.

In agronomic literature, there is also a mention of the name «Anis Barkhatny», which is classified as a synonym for the ancient variety «Anis Aly». In international genetic resource databases, the name «Barchatnoje» appears in inventory lists without a detailed morphological description.
