The variety is culinary but can be used as a dessert apple when stored until late winter. The fruits are large, with light green skin and an orange-red blush, possessing a mild, moderately sharp flavor and sweetness exceeding that of other culinary varieties.

The tree is of moderately vigorous growth with vertically growing branches, which allows it to be trained as cordons or espaliers. The variety is late-maturing, with harvest occurring in late September — October.

The plant is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties, while it serves as a good pollinator for other apple trees due to its long flowering period.
