The variety is a red mutation of the old Dutch variety Belle de Boskoop. The trees are characterized by vigorous growth, form a wide spreading crown, and require the presence of pollinator varieties due to triploidy and low pollen quality. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness.

The fruits are large or very large, often having an angular shape. The skin is firm, dry, yellow in color with an intense carmine-red blush. The flesh is yellowish-green, juicy, granular, and the taste is predominantly tart. Harvesting is carried out in October; consumption is possible from December to April.

The variety is resistant to a number of fungal diseases, but can be affected by powdery mildew during drought and rarely by scab. The fruits are prone to cracking under unfavorable weather conditions. The variety is versatile, suitable both for fresh consumption and for culinary processing.
