The variety is a mutation of the American Red Delicious variety and belongs to spur forms with a compact crown, the height of which is usually 3–3.5 m. The fruits are large, weighing from 200 to 370 g, have a conical shape with characteristic five tubercles at the apex and bright red shiny skin.
The flesh of the fruit is firm, juicy, cream or greenish in hue, and sweet in taste. The variety is distinguished by high keeping quality for up to 6–8 months, good winter hardiness, heat and drought tolerance. The plant has medium resistance to diseases: it shows high resistance to powdery mildew and weak resistance to scab.
The variety is self-infertile and requires cross-pollination with other apple varieties with similar flowering periods. It is intended for fresh consumption, culinary use, and processing, and is widely used in intensive horticulture due to its high productivity.
