The tree has strong wood, a spreading crown with powerful branches and can reach 5 meters in height. The fruits are medium to large, of round-flattened ribbed shape. The skin is dense, rough, gray-brown or golden-brown due to strong russeting. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, sweet with a hint of acidity.

The variety is a winter type; harvesting falls at the beginning of October, and the fruit keeping quality lasts until March. The plant is characterized by good winter hardiness and disease resistance, and prefers fertile, moderately moist soils. It is a triploid variety representing a russeted form of Reinette blanche du Canada.
