Variety description

The variety is a whole-tree sport of the Pinova variety with medium tree vigor. Flowering occurs at mid-season; the variety is noted for regular bearing and high yield. Crimson Crisp and Pilot are recommended as pollinators.

The fruits have a tricolor coloration with the presence of russeting and an orange-red blush. The flesh has a high level of sugar and acidity with a pronounced aniseed note. The variety is characterized by good keeping quality, maintaining consumer qualities until March-April when stored under controlled atmosphere conditions.

The variety shows sensitivity to Gloeosporium rot at the same level as the Pinova variety. Fruit ripening occurs approximately 10 days before the harvest period of the Golden Delicious variety.
