The tree has medium vigor, reaching a height of 3–4 meters when grown on standard rootstocks. The fruits are small to medium in size, with yellow skin and a red blush.

The variety is classified as an autumn variety; the fruits ripen in late September and can be stored until October–December. The flesh is white, firm, and juicy, possessing a pleasant taste and aroma. The apples are consumed fresh; the variety is also valued for its ornamental properties.

It is considered a local Danish variety, historically widespread in the Skive region. Its origin is presumably linked to the Ørslev Monastery.
