The variety is mid-late to late, with harvest occurring in early October. The trees have moderate to strong vigor, an upright crown, and bear fruit on spurs. The variety is characterized by alternate bearing, therefore young trees require fruit thinning.

The fruits are small to medium in size, round-conical or flattened in shape, with yellow-green skin and red stripes. The flesh is white, dry, and soft; the juice is distinguished by pronounced bitterness and astringency. The variety is prone to apple scab and fire blight, but is resistant to sea winds. It requires cross-pollination due to possible triploidy.
