The variety «Gerbyn Astrakaani», also known by the synonym «Gerby Astrakan», is an old local variety of Malus domestica. It is not the result of modern breeding and is regarded as an object for genetic resource conservation within the framework of national programs in Finland.

In specialized agronomic publications, there is a lack of detailed morphological and economic data, such as plant height, disease resistance, or a description of fruit taste qualities. The variety is included in official lists and catalogs as a historically established local variety.
