The variety is late-winter; harvest maturity of the fruits occurs at the end of October, and consumer maturity lasts from December to April-May. The fruits are of medium or large size, often distinguished by a ribbed shape. The ground color of the fruit is green, with a yellow tint and red blush appearing upon ripening. The flesh is greenish-white, turning yellow later, moderately juicy and firm.

The plant is classified as vigorous, forming a large and dense crown of pyramidal shape, traditionally cultivated in Streuobstwiesen-type orchards. The variety is characterized by resistance to winds and adverse weather conditions. It shows the best development on sandy soils, although it is also found on heavy loams.

The fruits are primarily used as culinary apples: they are suitable for making juices, compotes, mousses, baking, and drying. In fresh form, they have a mild sweet-sour taste and acquire a slightly spicy aroma during long-term storage.
