The variety was bred in Ahrensburg as part of a program to create scab-resistant apple trees. The tree is characterized as medium to vigorous, with a compact and bushy crown shape. Plant height varies from 3 to 6 meters depending on the rootstock and training method.

Fruits ripen early, at the end of August. They are of medium size and have a slightly flattened shape. The surface color is represented by a red "flame" pattern on a golden-yellow background. In terms of taste and aroma, the variety is close to the Elstar variety.

The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur gardening, including organic production, due to its low-maintenance requirements and high resistance to diseases.
