The fruits are small to medium in size. At harvest in early October, the skin is pale green, with russeting often visible in the basin area near the stalk. The taste of the fruits immediately after harvest is characterized by a relatively high level of acidity, which decreases during storage.

The tree forms a fairly compact crown, with fruit buds densely distributed. The variety is traditionally classified as part of the historical assortment. The plant is susceptible to apple canker caused by the pathogen Neonectria ditissima.
