Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was derived from an open-pollinated seedling of the variety «Braeburn» with the presumed participation of «Honeycrisp» as a pollinator. The name originates from the initials of the breeder Gerhard Sundermeyer and the tree number in the breeding row.

The fruits possess a glossy red color, crisp juicy flesh, resistant to browning and bruising. The flavor is balanced, combining sweetness and acidity. The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group.

The plant exhibits resistance to scab, however it is susceptible to powdery mildew. It is intended for commercial cultivation and sale in the fresh fruit segment.
