The variety is the result of folk selection from the Lower Lusatia region. Fruits reach harvest maturity by mid-October, consumer ripeness occurs in December, and the storage period lasts until May.

Apples have a squat flat shape, yellowish color with a reddish blush. The flesh is juicy, with a loose consistency, and possesses a sweet-wine-acidic taste with a slight spicy note.
