The Guldborg variety is a moderately vigorous tree with an upright crown. The fruits are medium to large in size, round-conical, often asymmetric and ribbed in shape. The skin is yellow-green with a red blush and stripes, becoming greasy upon ripening.

The flesh of the fruits is white, juicy, aromatic, sweet with a distinct acidity, and medium-grained and soft in texture. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and for cider production. The harvest ripens at the end of August or September, and the storage period is about one month.

The variety is diploid and self-infertile, requiring the presence of pollinators for fruiting. It enters the fruiting phase relatively slowly and forms fruits mainly on spurs. Thinning of flowers is recommended to maintain fruit quality.
