The tree grows vigorously at a young age, but as it matures, growth slows down, reaching medium size. The variety is considered susceptible to canker, which makes healthy adult specimens rare.

The fruits are dessert-type, characterized by white, very juicy and slightly loose flesh with the characteristic wine-sweet taste of Calville. The variety belongs to the winter group; the consumption period for the apples falls in December and January.
